I was 31 weeks pregnant and was having on and off fever and illness, which lead me to visit the hospital in St Cloud. I remember on the hospital ride telling David this is the ramp we'll park in when we come back to have our baby, but things went completely different.
When Jamie was soon due to have her son, Carson, she went to the hospital feeling unwell with a fever. After being transported to Abbot Northwestern Hospital, cardiologists discovered Jamie had a congenital heart condition called endocarditis, an infection that destroyed her aortic valve. She needed her valve replaced immediately after delivering her baby via C-section, but experienced severe complications. Listen to Jamie's story to hear how she and Carson and doing today.
