Gloria: Aortic Valve

Gloria has always had a passion for the arts—whether it’s dancing, acting in plays, or expressing herself through drawing. She also cherishes staying active and spending quality time with her family.

In 1986, Gloria was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and underwent cobalt radiation treatment. Years later, the effects of that treatment took a toll on her heart, damaging her aortic valve. A sudden trip to the hospital revealed severe aortic valve regurgitation, setting her on a new journey—one of resilience, medical challenges, and hope. Watch Gloria’s story to learn how she navigated heart valve disease and participated in multiple clinical research trials, shaping her path to recovery.
