Last November, the Otto Bremer Trust (OBT) generously made a $550,000 grant to support innovative cardiovascular education initiatives at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation (MHIF). These funds help support groundbreaking educational programs for patients, community members, and healthcare professionals. Additionally, the funding supports capital investments aimed at advancing cardiovascular treatments, allowing MHIF to stay at the forefront of cardiovascular care and a premier partner for future breakthroughs.

Heart disease remains one of the leading causes of illness and mortality worldwide, making education a critical tool in improving public health. Thanks to OBT’s support, MHIF will expand its educational efforts, providing more than 11,000 hours of education annually. This includes publishing in cardiovascular journals, presenting at scientific conferences, hosting patient education events on a variety of cardiovascular topics, and offering virtual webinar sessions designed to equip patients and community members with the tools to take control of their heart health.
