According to the CDC, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. The aging population, increase in obesity and cardiometabolic disease, ongoing health disparities and the suboptimal control of risk factors will likely exacerbate the incidence of cardiovascular disease in future years.
This cardiovascular disease prevention conference will educate physicians, advanced care providers and the broader healthcare team on current guidelines and opinion on weight loss & obesity prevention, calcium scoring, the social determinants of health and lipid medications. Join us in-person or virtually and earn education credits!

- Identify anti-obesity pharmacotherapy options and discuss prescribing considerations.
- Review contemporary treatment options for lipid management.
- Discuss the appropriate use of calcium scoring in further defining cardiovascular disease risk.
- Recognize racial disparities in cardiovascular disease and name ways to close that gap.

Primary care, internal medicine, OB/GYN and cardiology physicians, advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants) and other health care professionals on their care teams.
