Details

Join the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation for a professional development opportunity and earn education credits! This cardiovascular education event is custom-tailored for nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and licensed practical nurses navigating adult cardiovascular patient care in rural settings.

Date & Time: Friday, October 4, 2024 | 7:00am - 4:15pm CT
Location: Gather on 3 | 19624 County Rd 3, Brainerd, MN 56401

Care for individuals with cardiovascular disease continues to grow and advance in complexity. In the area of rural healthcare, nurses face additional challenges to staying abreast of best practices. Opportunities for training are limited and travel can be a barrier to accessing high-quality education. The need to address cardiovascular health in rural America is not just a local issue, but has been recognized nationally as well, with the AHA’s Call to Action on rural health. Moreover, while nurses have an important role to play in addressing health in rural settings, they do need comprehensive and specialized training in order to do so.

Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute-Baxter and the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation recognize this challenge and are collaborating to host this cardiovascular nursing conference. Early-Bird Special Pricing of $150 through September 4th!
