Patient Story: Paulson Family
The Paulson family has hope for more tomorrows thanks to research discoveries at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation that kept their family together, healthier, for longer.
John Paulson is an avid outdoorsmen and family man. He enjoys fishing, swimming, driving in his convertible, but most importantly spending time with his family and grandchildren. In his younger years, John experienced irregularities with his heart rhythm. A combination of medications kept this in check, until 4 years ago when John was flagged for having an irregular EKG during a routine check-in. After being referred to the Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute, the cardiac team of Dr. Matthew Chu and Dr. Jay Sengupta identified that John has a rare genetic disorder that not only saved his life - but his family's as well.
