Program Manager

Sue currently oversees the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation heart rhythm investigator-initiated research study portfolio, with a focus on supporting the center’s vision of improving the lives of heart rhythm patients. She joined the MHIF team in 1992 as manager of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinic, with an interest in genetic arrhythmias and electrophysiology. As a registered nurse, Sue has over 25 years of cardiology research experience and certification as a clinical research coordinator (CCRC) by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.

Since joining the team, Sue has contributed to more than 50 peer-reviewed publications, several of which have changed the way patients with a specific genetic heart disease were diagnosed and treated. She’s also managed several national and international multi-institutional studies.
