Job Posting: Associate Research Coordinator
The Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation (MHIF) is looking for an Associate Research Coordinator to support the ongoing needs of our clinical research trials, research databases and other research projects, with focus on cardiology specialty areas. The Associate Research Coordinator (ARC) will abstract data from medical records and other source documents; enter study required data into registry, database or other study systems; and provide other support in collaboration with the Clinical Research Coordinators. This position, under the direction of a Clinical Research Manager, will make patient contacts to collect study required data and to consent patients for participation in registry or other clinical studies. The ARC will record visit data onto study forms, complete study specific imaging transfers, conduct literature reviews and complete a variety of administrative and study-related tasks as assigned. The ARC may also draft text and charts for abstracts, manuscripts and Power Point presentations. This team member will work with all Foundation and hospital staff as part of a positive, supportive culture. This role is a good position for someone whose goal is to grow into more advanced Clinical Research Coordinator in the future.
Successful candidates have a high school diploma/GED and an Associates or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Candidates should possess two years’ experience working in a clinical or research setting, a minimum of one year experience working with data management systems and have the ability to read medical charts and understand basic medical concepts. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others as a team and in support of a positive work culture. Proficient computer skills are a must, as well as the strong written and verbal communication skills and numerical aptitude.
