There are a multitude of tests used to evaluate your cardiovascular system. Different concerns or symptoms demand different tests. Understanding what these tests mean and how they are utilized is important in obtaining the correct diagnosis and developing the best treatment plan for you. Join this session to learn about the various cardiovascular tests and how being knowledgeable about them can positively impact your patient experience!

Chair, Education Committee | Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation®

Dr. David Hurrell is a senior consulting cardiologist at the Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute® and chair of the Education Committee at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation®. He earned his medical degree from the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, completed his residency at the Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston, and participated in a fellowship at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education.

With interests in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, he provides both inpatient and outpatient cardiology care with special interests in several modalities of non-invasive cardiology including echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Hurrell is also recognized for his interest in integrative and complementary therapies. Dr. Hurrell commonly treats disorders of coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disorders, heart failure, high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia and valvular heart disease.
