Cheng Wang, MD, PhD

Dr. Cheng Wang joins MHIF from Beijing, China. He received his MD from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China in 2014 and started his career as a surgeon in Fuwai Hospital in Beijing. He spent his first two years training in the department of general surgery and another three years of specialty training under the department of cardiovascular surgery. As a fellow surgeon, he is experienced in common pediatric cardiac surgeries such as ASD/PDA/VSD/PECD/TOF repair. His past research interest mainly focused on pediatric cardiac surgery.

Dr. Wang starts his structural heart disease training this year, in 2022, and is excited to devote himself to valvular heart disease research. He joined MHIF to learn from the world-renowned leader of MHIF's Valve Science Center, Dr. Paul Sorajja.
