
Bahadir (Baha) Simsek, MD
Bahadir (Baha) Simsek comes to us from Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, Cerrahpasa Medical School in Istanbul, Turkey, where he obtained his MD and graduated magna cum laude in July 2021. During his medical school, Baha also established a track record of accomplishment in research, and worked in the biochemistry department as a research assistant and published about 20 articles, for half of which he is first author.
Baha has a strong interest in cardiology and has done several research internships in cardiology at Johns Hopkins and at UCSF. During his final year in medical school, he had several clinical rotations in the US, including one in cardiology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. Baha is also completing a one-year Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program from Harvard. He has passed the US Medical Licensing exams and is awaiting certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.
