Dr. Ashish Singal is an accomplished biomedical scientist with diverse experience in academia and the medical device industry. He possesses a unique blend of engineering and medicine with a passion for innovation. At GE, he helped launch MRI scanners in global markets. At Medtronic, he helped design the world's first pacemaker that can safely operate in MRI machines, and implantable neuromodulation systems for treating pain. At UMN, he collaborated with physicians to optimize the USPSTF AAA screening program to reduce unnecessary burden on imaging departments, and developed algorithms for patients with LVADs suffering from end-stage heart failure. As a research scholar at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, he partners with physicians and cross functional teams to discover new ways to help patients with heart rhythm disorders live longer and fuller lives.
